A Meditation for Strength and Courage
When fear arises, call upon the strength of Archangel Michael to stand beside you in courage, truth, and divine light.
As we continue to navigate a world full of uncertainty and upheaval, I am reminded again and again of the power of faith and prayer — not as passive wishes, but as active forces that can inspire real change. Trusting in the unseen orchestration of the universe, and in Spirit’s hand guiding us through it, can feel challenging at times. It can feel like being spun around blindfolded, unsure of which way to turn. Yet it is precisely in those moments that miracles are set into motion — when our unwavering faith becomes the bridge between despair and hope.
Over the years, I’ve learned that faith is not about ignoring what’s difficult in our world — it’s about holding steady in love while we face it. Prayer is not just about asking for help — it is aligning ourselves with the higher vibration that makes help possible. When we open ourselves to Spirit and to the divine assistance that surrounds us, we create a channel through which light can move — within us, around us, and out into the world.
Increasingly, I have felt guided to call upon Archangel Michael, the great protector and champion of light. As the people of Ukraine face unimaginable violence and displacement, I was guided to pray daily for Michael’s presence — to envision his great wings shielding the vulnerable, to ask for divine intervention where it was needed most. But while that moment stirred many of us into prayer, Michael’s role — and our invitation to call on him — extends far beyond a single crisis. The truth is, the need for divine protection and courageous love is ongoing. It is needed every day, in every heart, in every corner of the world.
Michael’s presence is not only about world events — it is deeply personal. He is the angel we call upon in moments of fear, when we feel small against the enormity of the challenges before us. He reminds us that we are never truly alone. His sword of light is not a weapon of violence, but of truth — a force that cuts through illusion, doubt, and darkness. When we ask Michael to stand beside us, we are invoking courage where fear has taken root, strength where we feel weak, and clarity where confusion clouds our path.
Many people believe that prayer is something we do for others — and it is. But it is also something we do for ourselves. When we pray for world peace, we align ourselves with peace. When we ask for protection, we attune to the vibration of safety. When we invoke Michael’s strength, we awaken our own inner strength. The more we do this — individually and collectively — the more light we anchor into the world.
I invite you to make calling upon Archangel Michael part of your spiritual practice, not only in moments of global crisis but in the everyday challenges of life. Speak his name aloud or in your heart. Ask for his protection when fear arises. Envision his radiant wings surrounding you, your loved ones, your community, and the world. Picture his sword of light dissolving any darkness that stands in the way of healing and peace.
And most importantly, remember that prayer is more than words — it is a call to action. As we ask for Michael’s protection, let us also embody his courage. As we pray for peace, let us become peacemakers in our daily lives. As we trust in divine love, let us extend that love to those who need it most — whether that’s across an ocean or across the street.
The power of prayer is multiplied when hearts unite. Imagine the vibration we create when thousands of us — perhaps millions — pause for even a moment to call on Archangel Michael for protection, peace, and strength. Together, our prayers become a chorus that Spirit cannot ignore.
So today, I invite you to join me. Take a breath. Speak Michael’s name. Envision his wings embracing not only those in distant lands but also your own heart. Trust that your prayer — no matter how small it may feel — matters deeply. And know that under Michael’s wings, we are held, guided, and strengthened, now and always.
